The series of seascapes are reflections of Britain’s East Coast: Sunrise-Land.

Tim Tokley creates these etchings using a process of accelerated oxidization onto copper-leafed wooden panels.

The corrosion on the metal is shared with the erosion measured and captured along the coastline.

The works are created by submerging copper panels into the Colne Estuary and River Blackwater meeting point on Mersea Island.
